DJ Lainey

My love for music has been deep rooted in me from a very young age as a child growing up in Brixton. Vinyls was always played in our home. I grew up listening to all genre of various artists the classics. I was influenced by my Dad’s huge collection of Jazz records on the Blue Notes label he was enthusiastic about Jazz music.

My passion was to explore music, incorporate elements of different genres with various sounds, and one day become a DJ so I could entertain people with my special selections of old and new tunes to resonate with all cultures. Theatre for me was a highlight having performed in two shows on stage in 2012. Singing in a group for the opening of the theatre production ‘Amen Corner’ was an amazing experience. I also had the opportunity to take part in the choir for the ‘Soul Night’ at the Royal festival Hall another great event.

Now on Feferity radio am DJ Lainey. It has been a beautiful transition. Music keeps us connected, and it takes us on a journey we can dance our way through! So groove on, reflect and reminiscence. “Lets enjoy the euphonious together”.
